Pointing mil that the Yugoslavs, a- a people. were united against Germany and Italy, a prominent member of the community in Wellington, Mr. 1 ony Marinovie, expressed the opinion to-day that, the action taken by the young: ruler would lie welcomed by Jugoslav patriot- the world over, lie could see in this new development the hands ot the obi army men. "They have been lighting for years and year-." lie <-aid. "and you can understand that they are not going to allow tin' well fed politician-, who -ntTered no hardship- in their i-oiiutrv's can.-c. to give away on a -ignod piece of paper what the people have brrn struggling for eentnrie-." Mr. Marinovie added tliat there was a suggestion in recent news that it watho C'rnatn who were willing to sell their country. "I would like to correct that misimder-ta nding." he said. "Tic \ ugnslav Cabinet consists of IS meiiil>ers. Ten voted for the part with Cermany— .-i\ of the Serb- and four of the Croat*. Vive, including the Prime Mini-tcr. did not vote, and three vofd against it. Two of them were (.mat- and one was a Sel b."
