SERIOUS CHARGE.
LABOURER REMANDED
Arrested near Grafton Bridge last night by Constable J. B. Wilson, a labourer and butcher, William James Herbert Mack wood, aged 21, appeared in the Police Court to-day, before Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., charged, on March 27, with assaulting a female with intent to commit rape.
On the application of Sub-Inspector Pender, accused was remanded for one week.
