Miss Tennent paid a tribute to the eorps, the members of which have been daily ensajied. in rotation, for some months past, in conveying patients from their homers to the Auckland Hospital for treatment.

Miss Tennent met members of tho executive of the Auckland Ped Cross centre at morning tea on Saturday, and yesterday afternoon she met the commandants, assistant. - commandants. quartermasters and head section leaders of the 20 voluntary aid detachment* in the area. During the afternoon Miss Tennent presented medallions to two V.A.D. commandants, Mrs. Kltngender and Miss E. Phipps. This evening Miss Tennent is to visit and inspect one of the voluntary aid detachments. Miss Tennent will be in Auckland until Thursday next and will be kept busy with consulting and inspecting with the officers of the voluntary aid detachments.

Members of the Red Cross voluntary aid detachments and the transport corps attended church parade yesterday morning at St. Matthew's, Church.
