TALENT scouts continue to stalk the 1 sticks in quest of new Valentinos, Dresslers, Chaneys and Harlows, but not once has an acceptable successor to one of these old favourites been found. Director Tay Garnett ie willing to gamble, however, that he has a "second Clara Bow" in a 19-year-old, rive-foot Alabama gfrl named Mary Anderson.
