WALLACE—JOHNSTON.
BRIDE'S WHITE CAPE ENSEMBLE.
St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell. was the scene of a quiet wedding on Saturday morning, when Miss Jacqueline Wliittaker Johnston, elder daughter of Mrs. Johnston, of St. Stephen's Avenue, and the late Mr. H. J. W. Johnston, was married to Mr. Graham Laclilan Wallace, eldest son of Mrs. Wallace, of Mission Bay, and the late Mr. Lachlan C. Wallace. The Very Rev. Dean Fancourt performed the ceremony. A graceful chalk white ensemble comprising a hand-embroidered frock and hem-length cape was worn by the bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. W. E. Reeves. It was worn with a matching hat and veil, and the bride carried a white orchid attached to a prayer book. Moss green Angora with black accessories was chosen by the bride's sister, Miss Betty Johnston, who attended as bridesmaid. ' She carried a spray of water lilies. The best man was Leading Aircraftsman William Salter, R.N.Z.A.F.
After the ceremony relatives of the bride and bridegroom were entertained by Mrs. Johnston, assisted by Mrs. Wallace, at tho latter's home, Dudley Road, Mission Bay.
