OBITUARY.
MRS. MARY ANN HIRST. One of the pioneer settlers of the Hunua valley, Mrs. Maty Ann Hirst, has died at Hunua at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Hirst was born in London and came to New Zealand at the age of three years, when her family took up land at Drury. At the age of 21 ehe was married to Mr. George Hirst, a farmer of Hunua. In the years after her marriage Mrs. Hirst gave fine service as a maternity nurse in the Hunua, Drury and Papakura districts. She visited, her patients in a horse and gig. Mrs. Hirst is survived by six daughters and three sons.
