PERSONAL.
Mr. P. R. Picot, director of the Internal Marketing Division, is visiting Auckland. Mr. L. P. Healy and Mr. J. Paulie, two Indian railway service engineers who are on their way to Canada, arrived yesterday by the flying boat Aotearoa. The Hon. P. C. Webb, Postmaster-Gen-eral, to-day attended the Auckland Racing Club's meeting at Ellerslie. To-morrow evening he will attend the Labour Club's New "iear social. Major-General Sir John Duigan, K.8.E., C.8., D.5.0., Chief of the General Staff, arrived yesterday by tlie flying boat from Sydney after visiting the Middle East and Greece. He will travel to Wellington by the Limited express to-night. Pilot-Officer A. M. Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex B. Scott, Fox Street, Gisborne, has reecived notice of his appointment to a post in the Air Ministry, London. He is at present on leave with his parents. Pilot-Officer Scott has been in the Defence Department for the last two years.
