ON ACTIVE SERVICE.
AUCKLAND SOLDIER'S DEATH. A telegram from the Minister of Defence has been received by Mr. J. A. Morton, of 31, St. James' Street, City, advising him of the death, from head injuries received in an accident, of his son, Sergeant Andrew Morton, aged 35, of Cardwell Street, Onehunga, who was serving in the Army Service Corps with the Second Echelon, in England. Before the war Sergeant Morton was an employee of the Ideal Mineral Water and Cordial Company. He is survived by his wife.
