FRANK OFFICERS.

ITALIAN PRISONERS. War With Greece Regarded As A Blunder. United Tress Association.—Copyright (Reed. 1 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 27. In a statement to tlie correspondent of the United Press of Great Britain, who is with the Greeks in the coastal sector, an Italian prisoner, Major Cambolio, a veteran of the Libyan war of 1911-12, said: "This campaign is a worse defeat than Caporetto (the great Italian retreat of 1917). It is largely due to the breakdown of the Italian transport system." Major Cambolio asserted tliat the Italians, since the initial Allied bombardment, had frequently been without food, and that their clothing was inadequate against the terrible cold. Aribther prisoner, Lieutenant-Colonel Borsini. said he and most Italian officers regarded the Greek campaign as a "blunder, since it threw the Greeks into the British arms, which might decide the whole outcome of the war." There is no confirmation of any kind in London of the report that transport has been requisitioned for carrying a large number of German troops—variously stated to he between 300,000 and 350,000 —across Hungary to Rumania, says British Official Wireless. Equally without confirmation in London is the report that there is considerable German troop movement over the Brenner Pass into Italv.
