COUNTRY WEEK.

FOURTH DAY'S PLAY. Slow Scoring AH Round On Crumbling Wickets. The Country Week tournament was continued at the Auckland Domain to-day on wickets which were crumbling somewhat as the result o[ hot weather following rain on the first day. The leading country teams in the country competition arc Pukckohe and Hamilton, who have got 12 points each, Rodney being next with seven points. Opposed to Rodney the Hamilton side opened unpromising]}-, losing four wickets before 50 runs were up, but they improved later and a seventh wicket partnership by D. and W. Munroe carried the total past the hundred at lunch. Pukekohe started well against the ExServicemen, dismissing their opponents for 10S in just under two hours. It was L. Johnson's slow bowling that caused the damage. Though hit about- finite freely he finished up with eight wickets for 72. A good knock by T. Gilson. of Dilworth. was the feature of the morning's play in Mie match between the .Suburban Juniors and the Wellington Brabin Cup team. Oilmen displayed sound judgment a.nd placing his shots well got five boundaries in his first 30 runs. Against an A.C.A. side of mixed seniors and juniors Thames fared l>adly and the side was out at lunch for 97. Details:— HAMILTON V. RODNEY. HAMILTON—First Innings. •I. Aitken. lbw. b W.
