Wheat.—A heavy demand for wheat continues and store stocks are light, l:ut will be relieved upon arrival of a shipment due early In the New Year. Heavy .bookings are being made for dispateh ex this particular shipment at 6/9 per bushel, fo.r./b., cash before dispatch, for a minimum ol 10 sacks. Meantime the demand is being supplied from store stocks at 7/3 to 7/4 per bushel. Maize.—An improved demand for maize has been noticeable over the past week. Ample supplies are available, and the price is steady at 7/8 to 7/10 per bushel. Oats.—The demand Is qulst with a shortage of supplies, and the market firm at 5/11 to 6/3 per bushel. Bran.—Stocks of bran are light, with a good inquiry Most of the business is now being done Wheatmeal.—There is a heavy demand for this line, with fair supplies and no alteration In price £10 10/. less Hi per cent, to £11 10/ net. according to quantity. Chaff.—Business in chaff is quiet, with a firm market at £11 5/ to £12 per ton!
