SCOTTISH PARADE.
THRILL FOR SHOPPERS. Two companies of men. forming the present strength of the Auckland Battalion of the New Zealand Scottish Regiment, marked the completion of their three months' intensive training in camp at Epsom by a parade in the city to-day. Led by their own pij>e band, formed only two months ago, and of Which they are justly very proud, the "Scotties ,, marched from 'the Drill Hall, Rutland Street, along Princes Street and Customs Street and back up Quern Street to the Drill Hall. Crouds of Christmas shoppers who lined the route, were struck by the tainted, healthy appearance and fine marching of this very keen unit as they swung along to the stirring strains of a Highland march.
As with the other territorial unite, 'the Scottish Battalion, soon to be increased in numbers, will continue their training in regular parades and periodical week-end camps.
