AWARUA RETURNS.

Commanded by Captain W. J. Craig, Tasman Empire Airways' flving boat Awarua returned to Auckland from Sydney this morning, arriving at 11 o'clock. The machine left Sydney at 1 a.m. Fifteen passengers were carried and 9861b of mail.
Among the passengers was Mr. V. J. Jirgens, t newsreel cameraman for the '"March of Time" organisation. Mr. Jirgens, who was officially met by representatives of the Government, has been engaged in making films of Australia's war effort, both industrial and military, during the last few weeks, and said this morning tliat he anticipated doing the same in New Zealand. He expects to commence work immediately.
Other passenjrers were: Mr. A. J. Graeie, Mr. S. S. Scott, Ivlr. and Mrs. B. F. B. Webster, Mr. F. K. Crimmins, Mrs. H. E. Chapman. Mr. W. B. Clarke. Mr. and Mrs. H. C'. Kitchen. Mi'. W. P. Crawford, Mr. E. H. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Morgan and child.
