FONSONBT 3 SIX-POINTERS.

In addition to the two exciting senior fixtures on Saturday there were others which produced outright victories close on time. It was heartening to supporters of Ponsonby-Balmoral after the debacle against Grafton to learn that the senior B. second grade and intermediate XI. s had scored outright victories. Y.M.C.A. twice and Marist being the victims. At Papatoetoe the local second grade side beat Grafton after being 51 behind on the first innings, and ran up 111 for three in an hour. After a Papakura Camp player (C. G. Rowe) hit a century against University—last year's senior B champion—the students actually won by an innings, their skipper. R. Connell. making topscore. 164. of the A.C.A. season. There were some capital feats with the ball, notably J. Havill. nine for 57, for Papatoetoe against Shore, and D. D. Puke, eight for 18, for 'Varsity against Camp. Pike also scored 53 runs. Results and principal performances:— SENIOR B. Ponsonby-Balmoral v.
