NINE PETITIONS.
UNDEFENDED DIVORCE
SEVERAL DECREES GRANTED
Xine undefended petitions for divorce were heard by Mr. Justice Fair in the Supreme Court this morning.
A decree nisi was granted on thi\ application of Alfreda Low« (.Mr. Hubble) against Henry Murray Lewis (Mr. H. J. Butler), who had failed to comply with an order for restitution made in November of last year. Petitioner said respondent was a member of the First Echelon now in Egypt. In December last he wrote stating that he lmd no intention of returning to petitioner, and they had not lived together since August. 1939. On the ground of desertion a decree nisi was made on the jietition of William Walter Thomas (Mr. A. Hums, junr.) against Elizal>cth J homas. The parties were married in England in IX»cember, 1913, and were last living together in Sydney in February, 1931. Petitioner came to Xew Zealand but respondent refused to join him here. Because the respondents had failed to comply with orders for restitution, decrees nisi were granted to William \Yalker Dick (Mr. Dickson) against Alice Dick, and John Peter Unkovich (Mr. Dickson) against Lucy Unkovich. Separation for three years or more was proved, and decrees nisi granted the pe-titioncrs in the following suits:— Frances Boland (Mr. Robinson) against Samuel Michael Boland; Annie May Bishop (Mr. Robinson) against Stephen Bishop (Mr. Thomson); Harry Charles Cook Evans (Mr. Robinson) against Constance Violet Jessica Evans; Francis Powell (Mr. Webbl against Ellen Marv Powell; Winifred Emily Xesbit (Mr. Hamer) against George* Ralph Xesbit; Wyvern Grahame de Clive Lowe (Mr. Fortune) against Xoeline Hilda Hvpatia de Clive Lowe.
