New Property Insurance Bill In
Britain.
COMPENSATION FOB LOSSES. British Official Wireless. (Reed. 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 14. Great interest is being taken in the expected publication this week of the Property Insurance Bill, regarding which "Mr. Churchill recently said: "Everyone should be assured that comj peneation for the loss of home or place of business will be paid to him in one 1 form or another at the end of the war, lif not sooner, and where the necessity arises ill the intervening jieriod the means of carrying on will not be withheld." The wekly Press warmly welcome* this announcement, the "Economist' •saying the decision to allow insurance ugaii;st risks to property is a very welcome change of mind, as the rcluctancc to consider such a scheme before was based on muddled thinking, but adding a warning that the bill will obviously be a severe test of skill for the drafters, and it is of the utmost importance that the measure should be allowed adequate time for Parliamentary diacuaaion.
