THE METROPOLE.
Up-to-date attractions at the Metropole on Saturday evening made their appeal to the patrons, and won the favour of old-time and modern dancers.
"The "Cay Gordons" and gipsy tap were in special demand, the lilting music by Lew Jones and his band proving a stimulus to the dancers. Included in the musical programme was an artistic arrangement of "Solitude" featured by Messrs. Jones and J. Griffin (violins), and Mr. N. Egerton (clarinet). Dance routine directed by Mr. Lea Williams ensured a brisk programme, And a 'hula demonstration by fleraihana and her partners provided a spectacular floor show. *
