ANNUAL CONFERENCE.
NEW PLYMOUTH NEXT MONTH.
Plans for the annual two-day conference of the iMociatcd Chamber* of Commerce of New Zealand, to begin at New Plymouth on Wednesday, November 6, have been framed by the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce and committees appointed to put them Into effect. It is expected that the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Industries and Commerce, will attend the inaugural proceedings. The conference will be formerly opened by the Mayor of New Plymouth, Mr. E. R. C. Gilmour. Official delegates from the Auckland Chamber will be Mr. Norman B. Spencer (president), Mr. L. Alfred Eady (vice-president), Mr. J. A. C. Allum (executive member) and Dr. E. P. Neale (secretary). Other members attending in their capacity as jmet presidents are Mr. Arnold Ely and Mr. A. M. Seaman. Detailed arrangements have been made for the entertainment of delegates and tliir wives while the conference is not in session, including visits to points of interest in the surrounding district.
