SMALL CHILD'S DEATH.
HASTIXGS, Thursday. The diecoverv of their 11-month-old
son dead in his cot wae made by Mr. and Mrs. D. Rae, of Hastings, at 7.30 o'clock this morning. When attended to at midnight the child wae all right. It appeared that the little boy had suffocated. He was sleeping in a room adjoining the parents' bedroom, and, although the door between the two room* I wae open, no sound was heard to indicate all was not well. < An inquest will be held.
