TEMPORARY PROMOTIONS.
WELLINGTON, Thursday
The Gazette to-night contains a number of appointments to and promotions in the Third Echelon of the Expeditionary Force, with effect in most cases from August 1. All promotions are temporary. The list includes the following:—
Second Divisional Cavalry Regiment Reinforcements. —Lieutenant R. R. Atkinson to captain.
Headquarters, Expeditionary Force Base. —Lieutenant H. E. Cro&se from the 14th Forestry Company to captain.
Twenty-seventh (Machine-gun) Battalion Reinforcements. —Lieutenant W. R. Roes to captain.
New Zealand Dental Corps.—Lieutenants D. A. Greenslade, B. M. Dallas, C. C. Cook to captains.
Eighteenth Army Troops Company, Xew Zealand Expeditionary Force. — Lieutenant A. J. Learmonth to captain.—(Press Assn.)
