MARIST PLAYS LEAGUE LEADER ON SATURDAY.
With a clear three-point lead in the Auckland Rugby League's senior competition, Richmond is in a strong position, but the side will be keenly tested to-morrow .afternoon, when it meets Marist, a team which has played consistently throughout the season. Richmond has built up a strong, all-round side, which excels in team play, with mobile forwards and a back division which is largely composed of Auckland representative playere. Good combination has brought Richmond to its present place in the lead and the team will do its best to maintain that position. Marist will put a fine all-round team in the 6eld for the occasion and be able to meet the Richmond style of play with similar tactics. The enrly match on the No. 1 ground at Carlaw Park will he between Mount Albert and Ponsouby. Both teams have shown improvement in recent matches and a fast and open exposition of the code is anticipated.
