OBITUARY.
INSPECTOR O. E. ROACH.
The death has oceurred in Dunedin of Inspector C. E. Roach, formerly of Auckland, who for the past two years had been inspector of police in Dunedin. Joining the force in Dunedin in 1906, Inspector Roach was transfered to Ross with the rank of sergeant in 1919, and later served as sectional sergeant successively in Auckland and Christchurch. He was promoted to senior-sergeant in 1927 and in 1934 was transferred to Wellington as sub-inspector. Three years later he was again promoted and went to Dunedin as inspector.
