McLENNAN—HALPIN.

BRIDE WEARS IVORY GOWN

St. Michael's Church, Remuera, was the netting yesterday morning for the marriage of the well-known Auckland pianist. Miss Theo Halpin, younger daughter of Mrs. Halpin and the laic Major T. P. Halpin. of Remuera. and Mr. Eric Doig MeLellan, younger son of Mr. W. MeLellan and the late Mrs. MeLellan. of Eastbourne. Wellington. Xiptial Mass was celebrated, the Rev. Father Bradley officiating. The organist was Mrs. Worthington and a hymn was sung by Mrs. H. MoLellan. for whom Mr. MeLellan played the flute obligato. Miss Marjorie Tiarks played 'cello mu-ie.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. L. G. Halpin. made a graceful picture in her gown of ivory French -ilk embossed mouscelle. The corsage was fashioned with a small Peter Tan '•n|!ar and tiny velvet buttons, similar Sutton* defining the waistline. The

r-kirt formed a semi-train, over which fell the long flowing tulle veil from a pleated coronet ornamented with orange blossom. .An arm shower of lilium langiflorum was carried.

The bridesmaids were Miss Pp^si

-lumk. Miss Belle McLeTlan, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Joyce McKean. who made a charming group in frocks of cornflower blue moire taffetas. The tijrl»t-fitt bodices were made with tiny Teter Tail collars and short pufT sleeves, and the full skirts fell from bustle bows at the back. Cornflower blue velvet flowers formed Juliet caps and each bridesmaid carried an arm shower of scarlet anemones and gerberas. In attendance on the bridegToom were Mr. David Anderson as best man and Messrs. Robert Simmers and Alfred Boyce as groomsmen.

Later a reception was held in Milne and Choyce's reception hall. Mrs. Haipiii receiving her guests in a black er.ihroid ered crepe de chine frock, a blark fmtrimmed coat and a black hat. Her bouquet was of cyclamen and pink carnations. Mrs. E. X. Rishton, aunt of the bridegroom, who assisted, wore a grcv striped costume and hat to matr:i,'and she carried a bouquet of freesias, chrysanthemums and violets.
