ESTABLISHMENT OF RESERVE SERVICE FOR ALL PLANNED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The. establishment of a general reserve of man-power to be supplementary to the fighting forces was mentioned by the Minister of National Service, the Hon. R. Semple, in a broadcast address last night. "With the emergency precautions scheme which has been developed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. AV. E. Parry, the general reserve will provide a channel of service for every man in the Dominion,'' Mr. Semple added. "We shall have everyone working to the greatest advantage in the shortest space of time. In the meantime, I would ask people not to rush into new organisations, but to wait for the national plan. It will provide suitable outlets for their energies.''

Mr. Semple stated further that the back of the task of compiling the manpower register had been broken. Discussing the provision of man-power for industry and the control of vohmtnry effort, the Minister said that hundreds of letters had been received. Jt was intended to get a foundation of the requirements and possibilities as a basis for sound planning.
