TO AID FIRE LIGHTING.
Keep a large jar half filled with paraffin in your (scullery, and soak a few cinders every morning when you clean the grates. Next morning when you are ready to light the fire lay a few sheets of newspaper at the bottom of the grate, place the soaked cindere in the middle and cover thorn up with small lumps of coal. Light th« fire in the ordinary way. You will find that in ten minutes the fire will be blazing away.
