ROTAI AKARANA CLUB. ANNUAL PRIZE NIGHT. The forty-sixth annual presentation of prizes of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club was held on Saturday evening in the clubhouse, Campbell's Point, in the presence of a large number of visitors and members, who were welcomed by the commodore, Mr. W. Curtis, and the president, Mr. Len. Heard. The visitors included Messrs. W. 11. Darlow, J. H. Frater and Druniniond Holderness, of the Auckland Hart>our Hoard ; Mr. C. H. Palmer, chairman of the Yacht and Motor Boat Association, Mr. G. M. Dennes, chairman of the Auckland Anniversary Regatta, and the flag officers of sister clubs. Mr. Curtis thanked all who had assisted in many ways to make the wason a ■success. The club's series of winter races were more popular than ever, and were closely contested. Mr. L. Heard paid a tribute t'i the work of the commodore, also 'the vice-commo-dore, Mr. E. Edgecumbe; rear-eouimodorc, Mr. H. Hill; the hon. secretary-treasurer, Mr. J. H. Moon ; and. racing secretary, Mr. Stan Brookes. Over 60 of the club's members had joined the Forces. Mr. Heard mentioned the extensive work the Harbour Board iiad in progress, and thanked Messrs. Darlow. Holderness and J. H. Krater for their consideration of boating men.

Following were the principal prize winners : Ngabau, Colin Norris Memorial Cup ; Kainbow. Commemoration Cup (won outright) ; Kotiri, ladies' race trophy; Ranger, Awaroa Ray trophy; Charmaine, Dulus Cup; Arline, Ileolin Cup; Tamariki. WhiteLidgard Cup and three other prizes; Edna !>., Kliot Davis Cup: Mamaru. Suva Yacht Club's trophy ; Takina, Broadway Shield; Caress, 14ft champion cup and two other prizes: Elite, Willetts Memorial Cup; Jennifer. Frostbite class trophy ; Ripple, sailing dinghy trophy. Other prize winners wore: Rakoa. Calypso. Jeanette. Niobe, Rahirl, Shamrock, Limerick, Vamarie, Moutiri, Maybelle. Gipsy, Tainui, Eunice, Rambler, Irena, Manaia, Moerangi, Rebel. Tacping, Invader, Joy, Tempest, Vamp and Lotus. After supper dancing waa carried on till midnight.
