APOLOGY ACCEPTED FOR PAPAKURA LEAVING THE FIELD.

The action of the Papakura team in walking off the field at Carlaw Park prior to the expiration o£ time without the referee's consent was considered at the meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Control Board last evening. The matter was taken in committee and it was subsequently reported that the committee of the Papakura Club had apologised for its | team's action and the apology had beca accepted. The methods adopted in the appointment of referees to senior games were dealt with by a strong deputation from the Senior I Officers' Association. The business Was taken in committee and a conference Is to be held with the Referees' Association. ; i Favourable consideration was given a suggestion from Mr. L. Bull, chairman-Of the Referees' Association, that, where a player ordered ott the Held failed to appear at the executive meeting, the referee's report of the incident be not read. Mr. R. Dohle, delegate on the New Zealand Rugby League, reported that a challenge liad been received from Inanga'.iua by the West Toast representatives for the Northern Union Cup.
