A DOZEN PETITIONS.

VARIETY OF CAUSES. A number of divorce petitions were heard before Mr. Justice Callan in the Supreme Court to-day. After eighteen years of married life, she and her husband separated because of his failure to maintain her, said Annie Joyce (Mr. A. K. Turner), in ]>etitioning for divorce from Charles Harold Joyce. In July of last year, on account of something she heard, she visited Silverdale and found her husband living with another woman who had a child, of which they both admitted the parentage. Petitioner herself had had no children. Evidence was given by another witness that she had known of the respondent living with the same woman as mentioned by the petitioner. They were then living together at Kawau Island. A decree nisi was granted. "0.K., IT'S ALL RIGHT." His wife complained that he was spying on her when he objected to her association with another man about two and a half years after their marriage, said Frederick George Mayes (Mr. Robinson) in petitioning for divorce from Kathleen V iolet Mayes. She then said, hi November, 1933, that she would "get out," and he consented to an order of maintenance. In February of this year he and two companions visited a house in Hepburn Street, Ponsonby, and found that his wife gave her name as Mrs. Robinson, and in the house there was also a man, John Robinson, who was named as corespondent in the case.
