INCREASE IN OUTPUT.
KAIPARA DAIRY COMPANY.
Due to favourable weather experienced in the latter part of the season, thp output of the Kaipara Co-operative Dairy Company increased by 232 tons thie year to 1855 tone. This fact was pointed out in the annual report and balance-eheet of the company. The pay-out for the reason averaged 13.896 d per lb. Unsold rock was taken in at the Government guaranteed price for the different grades, the charges accruing being debited to the various accounts. Dividends on shares amounted to .067 d, rebate on purchases .212 d, making a net payment of 16.475 d. The process payment of Id per lb, the report added, would be made on July 20, and the balance on August 20.
The appropriation account for leet year ehowed a credit balance of £27,74&, which wae increased by over estimation of charges accruing by £147, making a total of £27,893. The progress payment of l%d on June and July, 1938, and 2.10 d on August to May over all grades absorbed £26,748, dividend on shares £902, social security tax £50. and inrome tax £161, leaving a credit balnnoe of £24, which has born carried forward to the 1939-40 appropriation account.
