The Prime Investigation Tribunal have this week authorised new selling rates for well-known brands of English salt in l%lb drum and lib English fish and meat paete loz, coir door mate, Epsom unite bulk, a well-known brand of eaetor oil soz, and a well-known brand of Gorbuseha ealmon in lib flat tins. . According to laet week's report, pepper, nutmegs and mace from the Kast all shower] a slight easing tendency, with little interest at the moment. Sago, tapioca nml pineapple are quoted at unchanged ri'tee. The Eastern eteamer due shortly will be carrying the firet shipment of pineapples against merchants' fourth period licenses, together witfh oth?r Eastern products which ere badly wanted. Pineapples in particular are very short, both merchants' and retailere' stocks being reduced to a minimum. A further slight reduction has occurred in the market for dessicated coconut. This ie thought in eome quarters to be due mainly io lack of shipping space, and the extreme difficulty of executing any European binsinette. Wholesale Current Prices.
