TRENCH MOUTH.
MEED OF PRECAUTIONS. The need of sterilising apparatus for trashing soldiers' mess kits, need in the military camps, was brought before the Hospital Board last evening by Dr. H. Northcroft, who said she understood thai up to Sunday sterilising apparatus had not been in uee.
Dr. Northcroft added that there was now an epidemic of trench mouth at Hobson ville, and if it were not "nipped in the bud* , it would be a very serious matter indeed. It was something that the military authorities should get on to immediately.
The chairman, Mr. Allan J. Moody, said that in view of a previous discussion by the board, if nothing had been done, somebody had "slipped on their job." If there were cases of trench mouth it was time somebody woke up.
