AMALGAMATION.
BROADCASTING SERVICES. SUGGESTION* IN PARLIAMENT. (By Tclearraph.—Parliamentary Keportor.) WELLINGTON, Friday. A suggestion that the National Broadcasting Service and the Commercial Broadcasting Service should be amalgamated and brought under one controller or director, was made by Mr. Jull (Opposition, Waipawa), in the House of Representatives to-day. He contended that ' there was a clamant need for the Government to take into account the heavy .expenditure at the present time. There were two different brands of broadcasting— very different, except when Ministers of the Crown were on the air and the two broadcasting services were then unanimous. Mr. Can - (Government, Tiraaru): What about war news?
'"Let's have an amalgamation of these two administrations," continued Mr. Jull. <- Jf there is any doubt about who should 'be iu charge let the two directors or controllers toss up."
