RATIONING OF WOOL

TEMPORARY CIVILIAN ISSUE.

LONDON, June 30

The new rationing period for wool begin* next. week. It is expected that the Wool Control will decide to issue a temporary civilian ration, covering about one month's requirements, pending clarification of the present difficult position. The favourable trading position of the wool and textile industry is borne out by the experience of Pαton and Baldwin, Limited, which shows an increase of £125,000 sterling in profits. However, shareholders are not benefiting, the company having appropriated £270,000 for War contingencies.
