It is authoritatively stated in Shanghai that the Chinese have massed a large army 10 miles from French IndoChina, ready to inarch in the event of Japanese invasion. V*" The Doniei news agency states that the Japanese have occupied Chennankwan, adjacent to the French Indo-China ■border, and the terminus of the railway from Hanoi, eays a Tokyo message.
A division of the Chinese Eighth Army is reported to be trapped near Licohsien.
