British Children For The Dominions.
MANY AUSTRALIAN OFFERS. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 2S. The Australian Associated Press correspondent learns that the date* [have been fixed for the sailing of the I first ships to the Dominions -with I British children. J The Ministry of Health plans for the evacuation of children have been completely revised as the possibility of the i removal of the bulk of the civilian 'population from certain districts for j military reasons must be considered. Fewer than 240,000 schoolchildren haw been registered under the February scheme, providing for oGOXKX). It is now necessary to increase the number of evacuation areas and eliminate certain reception areas. A <hessago from Canberra says that Senator Foil stated that the applications received from Australian people were sufficient to provide homes for 15,000 British refugee children.
