COMMON POOL.
All Petrol Products In , Australia. PRELIMINARY TO RATIONING. (Received noon.) MELBOURNE, this day. As a preliminary to the introduction of petrol rationing, the Minister of Supply, Sir Frederick Stewart, announced that a plan had been approved by the Government for the pooling of all petrol products in Australia. All storage and distribution facilities for petroleum products are to be pooled by an agreement with the oil companies. Individual trading by bulk suppliers will cease when the scheme becomes operative, after which all sales will be made by a pool under a common pool brand.
