AT MELVILLE PARK. SECTION PLAY TERMINATES. AN AUCKLAND CUP FINAL. Interest in the Country Week tourney centred chivfiy in the B section Until, when Auckland B defeated Rotorua, by 4 goals to nil. The Provincial Cup linal will now be played between Auckland A, winners of the A soction, and Auckland B. '• _ Auckland B took tire offensive early against Rotorua, and Miss N. sterling netted a cJean shot. Rotorua carried the play into opposing territory, but gooddefence saw each movement broken up. Auckland dominated the game, with the forward line manoeuvring into scoring position for Mi«s K. Bilky to score. An exhibition of speed and combination was <*ivcn by the attack, with able support from the defence. Miss Bllkey was responsible for solid play as right inside, her efforts resulting in a further score, with Miss N. Sterling netting again before the end of the game. Rotorua sallied, well, and Miss .T. Wkiti worked bard on the wing, but her opening lacked support.

Despite the fact that the visitors have had a week of gruelling games this seasonal fixture is always productive of thrilling and spectacular hockey. The first series of matches in the Devonport Shield competition will also be played. On the No. 'J ground at Hobson Park United and University A will open proceedings, to be followed by the Grammar Old Royrt-Trainlng College match. On No. ii ground at 3 p.m. papakura Camp will play AFiertians. At Fowh-n Park St. Luke's will be opposed tn University Whippets in the early game, and Mount Eden Is drawn against •Somerville in the 3 o'clock match.
