BLOMFIELD AGAIN SEEKS TITLE.
DOUBLE FEATURE WRESTLING ON SATURDAY. Auckland wrestling enthusiasts will be qffered at the Town Ilall on Saturday night, an outstanding programme. The main, match will bo a challenge by Lofty Blomficld, New Zealand heavy-weight champion, for the British Empire title held ! by Earl McCread.v, of Canada. In addition, however, there will be a match between Ken Kenneth, Now Zealand's outstanding preliminary professional, and a ; notable American wrestler, Dr. Barto Hill. Both . these matches should be of the type to keep spectators out of their seats in excitement. Though Bio in field and McCready have met In title contests on a number of occasions, critics of the sport agree that Blomfield bns never had a better chance of gaining the title. Blomfield is at the top of his form. McCready, too, is wrestling well. The difficult matches he has had this season against members of the strongest team we have yet seen here have shown, however, that the man who can maintain a continuous rugged attack against him has a good chance of victory. Of that Blomfield is fully capable. In the secondary contest Kenneth is offered the chance to prove that he is ready to enter the ranks of main-event professionals. Auckland is confident that he will give a good account of himself even against a wrestler as noted as Hill, who has drawn with Steele and taken a fall from Jim Londos.
