LOCAL BODIES.

NORTHCOTE BOROUGH. The Northcote Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. R. Martin, presiding. Stafford Park.—The League Football Club aek=d permission to take up a collection in iiul of the funds of the Northcote Red Cross branch at a burlesque football match to be played on July 6. Permission was granted.

Wharf .—The Harbour Board acknowledged receipt of a letter from the council advieing that the atone pitching under the albutment of the Norbhcote wharf wae in need of repair.
