Mi*. Churchill Reveals Steps Taken As Precaution. LESSON FROM FRANCE. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, June.S3.My. Churchill, in the House of Commons, said: "I hope ive can prevent a disturbance of the Britisli Parliament. An arrangement, -which I cannot conceive will be necessary, lias been carefully ■worked out 'to enable Parliament to continue to bo the guide, director and'supporter of the Government, and also to enable tlio Press to maintain its function." He. was replying- to Mr. Hore-Belislia," who said: "It is inconceivable that the French surrender could have been made had the French Parliament been in session, and had public opinion, through the Press, not been subjected to a rigorous "censorship."
