WESTFIELD OFFERINGS. ; COMPETITION KEEN. Values for an average yarding of ox beef • showed an improvement on last week's advanced rate at the Westfield fat stock '. sale to-day. Although the yarding was • larger thau last week, competition was '. again keen, values improving 1/ per 1001b. Top price for steers was £16 10/ for best j quality beasts from Mr. G. Reed, Waerenga, and Mr. H. G. Kimpton, of Brookby. A larger yarding of good quality cowa ' and heifers also met a ready response and values improved 1/ per 1001b. Top price was £13 10/, comparing very favourably , with that of £11 last week. In the calf section also values improved - on last week's quotations.
