The drama was first introduced into Home on occasion of a plague which raged during the consulate of Sulpiciug Peticus and Licinius Stolo. The magistrates, to appease the deities, instituted games called the "Scenici"; and actors from Etruia danced, after the Tmacam manner, to the flute, in the year 364.
