FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to ma far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Fresh to strong west to south-west winds. Weather cool and rather changeable, with scattered showers. Seas alight to moderate inshore on the east coast, rough elsewhere. Pressure is rising over New Zealand following the passage eastward of yeeterdar'a vigorous depression. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. T J»» following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind. south-west. fresh; sea, moderate; weather, cloudy and showery; visibility, fair; barometer, Steady.
