CANADA'S EFFORT.
MANY CHILDREN EN ROUTE. (Received 11 a.m.) OTTAWA, June 19. Mr. T. A. Crerar, Minister of Mines and Resources, said in Parliament that "a quite substantial number of child war refugees were en route to Canada from Britain, and others would be sailing soon." A St. John's (Xewfoundland) Citizens' Committee which is organising homes for British children, announced a loan of 1,500,000 dollars to relieve Newfoundland's demands on the British Treasury.
