NORSE WHALERS.
WANT TO JOIN NAVY. LEFT PORT EIGHT MONTHS AGO. (Special—By Air Mail.) LONDON, May 25. A party of men of the Norwegian whaling fleet from the Antarctic arrived in England this week. A specially chartered boat brought 400 of them, and 300 took their ships and cargoes into an east coast port. Other cargro := safe in foreign ports—probably for the duration. These men, whose average age is 30, are employed by British-owned factories and they left their, ports eight months ago. One of them said: "We knew very little about this' war until we arrived in England. While at sea, we were, forbidden to use our wireless, and the news that Germany had occupied ports of Norway came as a great shock. "We are willing to do anything to help the Allies. It may be that the Norwegian authorities will call on us, although many of us who speak English would like to join the British Navy."
