RESTRICTED DEALINGS. OVERSEAS SECURITIES. MARKET SLIGHTLY FIRMER. Once again, the quotation of overseas securities has been prohibited on Dominion Stock ExclmngcM. This information was received just prior to the final call yesterday afternoon, nnd until the position has been clarified dealing in those issues has been suspended. For the shares which are still quotable, Dominion iwmee, or the securities of compHiiioM which lmve a New Zealand register, the market at the cnll tlii.s morning was fractionally tinner, but owing to the uncertainty of the position dealings were restricted. A good deal of business is being dona in local body and Government gilt-edged stocks, and the recent announcement does not appear to have had any weakening effect on them. The Noon Call. Values moved up a little more at the noon call, and considerable intereJt was shown in insurances. For New Zealand Insurance buyers advanced from £2 13/9 to £2 15/, at which price there was a gale. Buyers are t-till willing to give that much, while holders are 3d away. South British Insurance buyers moved up 3d to VI 3/, while a seller came forward at £'-' 4/. Breweries were also a little firmer.
