FISH PIE.
This is nicer than the usual recipe, and the addition of cheese makes it 1 more nourishing too. Boil some snapper and divide it into large flakes. Parboil about the same amount of potatoes as well. Now cut the potatoes into thickish slices, and put thein into a rather deep fireproof dish in alternate layers, packing rather loosely and sprinkling every two layers with grated cheese. Now pour enough white sauce to fill the dish, and distribute between the layers, sprinkle the top with grated cheese and breadcrumbs, dot with a little butter, < and brown in the oven.
