GERMAN ADVANCE. Two Women Disarm Italian Parachutists. NAZIS AT CHERBOURG. United Press Association. —Copyright. (Received 2 p.m.) BORDEAUX, June 18. The French night communique states: "After a violent attack the enemy to-day penetrated deeply into Normandy and Brittany. Advanced units reached Cherbourg and Rennts. There was violent fighting southward of Chateaudun.
"On the middle Loire the enemy established several bridgeheads between Orleans and Xevers. Enemy masees between Loire and the Vo.sges continued to advance. Fighting continues in Lorraine and also in Alsace, where our troops arc holding the enemy."
"Le Journal" says Italian 'planes attacked the French Riviera between Toulon and Frejus. Italian parachuti&ts landed, of whom two were disarmed by women. French fighters shot down 10 Italian 'planes.
