Longterm Franklin J'ower Hoard 4'/4 per cent debentures attracted buyers l at £ 105 10/, and sellers ca.mo forward at £1 more. Thus yesterday's market of £106 is fully maintained. Other sections of thn market were, quiet, with bidding hesiUint. Soiith British Ineuruncee nre definitely weaker. After active business yesterday, at £2 3/, quotations tlii.i morning were £'2 2/6 for buyers and £2 3/ for holders. There waa, however, a good deal of interest shown in Australian mining shares. The Noon Call. Values moved up a little, if anything, at the noon call, though the general level of quotations wn« not much changed. After a sale at £1 16/6, which woe tkl lower than the previous one, buyere for National Bank of New Zealand are willing to give £1 15/. while sellers are at £1 17,6. The buying bid was an improvement of 2/ on the quote thie morning.
