PUBLIC SERVICE BALL.

A successful ball in support of the Public Service Queen, Miss Estelle Boucher, was held in the Peter 'Pan Cabaret last night by the combined, public service departments of Auckland. The attractive scheme of decoration, which had been carried out by Miss Joan Sutherland, featured Miss Boucher's colours of red and white. Ballet numbers by pupils of Madame Valeska, were included in the entertainment. The guests were received by the chief postmaster, Mr. R. G. May. The committee comprised representatives from all public service departments, with Mr. W. H. Horrocks as secretary and Mr. C. Walters in charge of the floor arrangements;
